Oxford Student Publications Ltd. is now nearing its 60th Anniversary as an entirely independent and student run organisation. The primary ethos behind OSPL is to provide students with opportunities in journalism, writing, editing, and publishing.

OSPL publishes The Cherwell  newspaper, the oldest, most prestigious, and most respected student newspaper aimed at Oxford University students, with a weekly readership of 15,000 undergraduates and postgraduates.

OSPL exists to help students develop their journalism and publication skills. The reward? Many of The Cherwell's stories go national every week, and the staff we manage go on to thrive in the worlds of journalism, editing and publishing.

Additionally, we publish The ISIS, the oldest independent student magazine in the United Kingdom, with alumni including Evelyn Waugh, Sylvia Plath, and Nigella Lawson. We also print The Oxford Scientist, providing insights into the world of science.

For Freshers, we publish Keep Off the Grass, an exclusive guide, produced by Oxford students for incoming Freshers. Once a year, Industry Fashion magazine is published providing insight into the world of fashion.

In Michaelmas, we publish the Cherwell Guide to Careers which offers unparalleled advice and guidance into the world of work.

Our prints, websites, and supplements aim to provide the best in student journalism, and represent an unparalleled opportunity to reach out to the student community at the University of Oxford.
